Showdown In Foggytown
"As soon, as this horse approached me..."
A dusty, *cough-cough* comedy western. That's what this movie is. No less, no more. And this could have been its failure.
While in the search for a new genre/motive for an upcoming sequel to COME ON, FoDooG Films launched a poll via their podcast 'FoDooG Radio'. Listeners were able to choose between four different, possible movies:
A - Come Two, an immediate sequel (probably what Left In Town has become)
B - Showdown In Foggytown, a Western
C - Fogballs, a SciFi Comedy
or
D - Something completely different, which noone expects.
The votes were in, and finally, FoDooG Films started the production of Showdown In Foggytown. Again, featuring the beloved crew of four guys, this time in western suits and hats and Dr. Villian, renamed as Sheriff Victor Illian.
Lennox, Strathand, Moondog and Breaktaker were ripped off 50,000 bucks cash and now are on their trip to get this gy to justice, with unexpected consequences.
Being the weakest movie in the Horse Trilogy, didn't mean it lacks the typical FoDooG Films humor. Even more, this time, the dialogues were more polished, the jokes more driven by the spoken words than random events. The famous greenscreen was featured again, slightly changed from Come On and an real life intro was put in front of the movie, where Mr. Lennox and Mr. Moondog try to stray any doubts of the viewer about poor animals.
The TMO-release stood under no good star. Due the LIVE release during their interview on TMOA-Radio with the Ken&Roger-Show, the final exportation of the movie was quiet unsatisfying.
"The sound was full 5 seconds out of place around the end of the movie, beginning approximatly in the half and ruined some, in my eyes, great jokes, that lived on timing. Also, I hate it, when you hear actor A speaking and see actor B talking. Annoying." says Frank Flanagan, who was, again in charge of production. Standing out are StevenKreg ans Sleeves, who perform very well in their cameo roles.
It took more than three months to find a proper place to re-release the movie in a watchable state, and this placeis here, on www.flanagansfog.com. Click below link to watch the movie without (technical) flaws.
But even with this problems, Showdown In Foggytown manages to climb at place #2 in the charts and earned various awards.
And yes, the horse is back.
It should take another three months for FoDooG Films to deliver their last piece of Horse-madness, and this time, they wanted to blow the party.
